The studio is located in the high desert setting outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico.  All of the work from sculpture to functional ware is created entirely by Jarrett West.

For the larger sculpture projects, 50 lb slabs of clay are pounded out on the studio floor with some of the work requiring up to 1,000 lbs of clay.  This stage is all physical; no assistants, no machines, just bare feet and a good breakfast.

The functional work is all turned using a traditional treadle wheel, with many of the pieces altered after turning for further development of form.

From a ten foot outdoor sculpture to a functional teapot, the ceramic process involves a spirit of care tempered with strength.
